Apparently Getting Things Done is the way to go for time management, with a nice little addon for Gmail available. Personally I use the ScatterBrain(TM) system, resulting in lots of ideas and projects underway - but not much completed! ;P

PS. Great to see you back on IR! :)

@Allan: Damn, I *WAS* hoping someone would have a solution allowing technology to do the work FOR me ;-)

Actually - your idea of having the New Post link right on my desktop could be inspiring. Going to give that a shot...

@Cory: It's a safe assumption I'm doing what I love to do. Too much of it - therein lies the problem. But the takeaway from your response is that I definitely need to specifically schedule some time for it daily. Thanks man...

I try to come up with one good article a week, per blog. That includes TPG, GrE (both of which have pretty much been in alternation for the same slot), my own blog, and my Livejournal. My LJ is easy; just blab on about my week. My blog is harder, simply because if it's about games, I leave it for GrE/TPG, and if it's anything else, I rarely have the opportunity to write it down before I go to work. I go to work late and I sleep in because of that, and that leaves very little time. But when you have a moment, just fire up wordpress.

Having a link to the 'New Post' page on the desktop works for me, because I'm much more productive on my laptop than I am on my desktop, simply from that fact. Instead of all the steps, it's just log in, and type away. Also, although it's been lax as of late simply because I have the time set aside for blogging without it, a personal podcast feed just works for me to do something quickly. With my Livejournal I pay $20 a year, I call up a number, say what I want to say, and hang up. It sets itself as private, I download the file, and upload it to my own blog when I get home.

You've just got to find out what works for you, and what your personal hurdle is. If it's time, bang open notepad and just brainstorm for a few minutes, and flesh it out when you have an opportunity. And don't forget you have writers there for a reason.

My blog has not been tended to in a while and all it has are long historical videogame reviews from my collection. My podcast 1. Is not personal 2. Is very very very long in length and 3. Is hard to post since its length requires a free site with unlimited bandwith (aka Podango which shut down sadly). Sorry I couldn't have been more help but it is nice to see you are getitng back into the podcasting, you got a good voice for it.

Well man.. in all honesty.. you just need to commit to setting a certain time aside every day that you want to contribute to a certain podcast or site. Such as the EvilCast.. Blake and I have set aside our time slot for Mon. Wed. and Fri. and if for some reason we can't make that set day.. which rarely happens.. we hit it on the very next day. It's tough to schedule around your life.. but once you get in the groove it's not so bad. Just make sure that what you're doing is what you truly love to do.. and you'll make time for it. For instance.. having you on the EvilCast tonight was f*cking bad ass! Thanks for being here! I know you're a busy man.. and it's awesome that we could have your company.. but I'm sure that you must have skimped out on something else to be here. It all comes down to prioritizing your stuff.. I know that seems too simple.. but I make the EvilCast the #1 priority on Mon. Wed. and Fri. nights. And Hopefully that will pay off in the end.. but who knows.. I do it because I love doing it.. and if people dig that.. cool.. if not.. oh well.. I'm happy.. and that's ultimately what matters.. so do what makes you happy.. and you'll find time for it.. Cliche I know.. but where there's a will.. there's a way
